Rules and Expectations
Use of the cages and facility are at your own risk. Double Play is not liable for any personal injury or equipment damage sustained in or around batting cages or pitching tunnels.
A waiver must be signed before use of any of the equipment by any user who is 18 years of age or older. Parents must sign for any minors.
Adults are responsible for the actions of the youth in the training areas. Misconduct will result in immediate termination of privileges with no refund. Horseplay/fooling around will not be tolerated.
Anyone under the age of 16 must have adult supervision at all times.
No more than one batter and one coach are allowed in the cages/tunnels at the same time.
Batters MUST wear helmets inside tunnels at all times.
The only swings taking place at Double Play are inside the cages. No practice swing allowed outside of cages.
When batting cages are in use, the access door must be closed to prevent exposure to hit or thrown balls.
All pitchers/pitching machine operators MUST use L screens for protection.
Fielding masks for softball are highly encouraged for use in the green space.
No person under the influence of drugs or alcohol is allowed in Double Play.
Helmets and bats must be provided by the user.
Batters/Athletes are expected to wear the appropriate shoes-no metal cleats allowed.
No food, drink, gum, seeds or spitting in cages/tunnels.
Batters MUST wear helmets inside cages/tunnels at all times.
Student catchers in tunnels must wear full gear at all times and all catchers must wear protective mask.
Users must pick up provided softballs and baseballs when finished with cage work. Return all balls to the front counter in bucket.
Be courteous! Do not steal baseballs or softballs!
This is a family atmosphere, no profanity or vulgar language/gestures will be permitted.
For pitching machine use only
Operators must be 16 years or older
Users must be 7 years or older
Operators must be behind L screen
Be Alert-pitches can come at any time!
Alert Double Play if balls are being thrown out of strike zone
Do not throw back at pitching machine
Caution! Injuries could result from the use of this facility and equipment. Users assume inherent risks of batted baseballs and softballs. If users have questions about the use of this facility or the equipment or the inherent risks associated with the use of this facility or equipment, ask the attendant before using the cages/tunnels/greenspace.
